What we do
Who we are
We enjoy staging annual productions at the Rhoda McGaw Theatre and also appear on this stage annually in the autumn with entries for the Woking Drama Festival. We have enjoyed success over the years with nominations and awards in various categories. However, having started out as a community based group, PLT retains strong links to the local community of Pyrford. We stage a production in January - usually a pantomime - and a play in October, both at Pyrford Village Hall. In the summer, we also run a stall at the Pyrford & Wisley Flower Show. In addition we occasionally perform old-time Music Hall events at various community-based venues, to raise money for charity. If this were not enough to keep us busy, We also enjoy various social events, with parties and other gatherings throughout the year.
PLT consists of members from all walks of life. Our number ranges in profession from teachers to IT professionals, marketing consultants and housewives to office workers. There are many long standing, experienced members of the group, but plenty of new enthusiasts too. If you think that being a member of PLT sounds like great fun you’d be right! We are a very sociable and friendly group and are always on the look out for new members. So if you’d like to join us, whether your interests lie in writing, acting, directing, singing, dancing, sound, costume, set designing and building, lighting, and whether you’re a seasoned thespian or a total beginner, email us at membership@pyrfordlittletheatre.org.uk .
We look forward to meeting you soon!
